Wyoming, ON – The all-clear has been given after a natural gas leak occurred earlier today in the Wyoming area.   Shortly before 11:30 a.m. construction near the intersection of Broadway Street and Confederation Line resulted in the rupture of a natural gas main.  Emergency Services responded to the scene and a Shelter-In-Place order was placed in a 500m radius around the site of the leak.

2:20 p.m. May 13th - Enbridge Gas has controlled the leak, deemed the area to be safe, and has provided the all-clear. The shelter in place has been lifted and roads are now opened. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this incident.

WYOMING PUBLIC CEMETERY NOTICE OF FILING OF A NEW BY-LAW

By-law 34 of 2024 being a by-law to provide for the management and control of the Wyoming Public Cemetery and all inactive cemeteries in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming has been endorsed by Plympton-Wyoming Council and has been filed with the Registrar of the Funeral, Burial, and Cremation Services Act, 2002, for approval.

9:00 p.m. May 7th - crews finished the repair and are currently flushing the watermain. Residents are reminded to run their cold water for a couple minutes prior to use.

Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming will hold a Public Meeting on Monday, May 27th, 2024, at 6:00p.m. at the Town Council Chambers to consider a Short-Term Rental Licensing By-law, being By-law 116 of 2023. Subsequently, proposed Official Plan & Zoning By-law Amendments under Sections 22 & 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, will also be considered.
