    The Waste Calendar includes helpful tips, information about the waste diversion initiatives available curbside and at the Smith Landfill, as well as important dates to keep in mind, such as tax payment due dates, etc. Waste diversion initiatives, when utilized by Selwyn Township residents and visitors, will reduce our carbon footprint while extending the life of our landfill.

    Plympton-Wyoming Hires New Fire Chief 

    Plympton-Wyoming, ON – The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has successfully recruited a new Director of Emergency Services / Fire Chief. The Town is pleased to announce that Will Davidson will be our new Fire Chief. Chief Davidson has been Acting as Fire Chief since August 2024 and is being welcomed as the Town’s permanent Fire Chief on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025.

    Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership is hosting an 8-Week Business Planning Course offered by the Business Enterprise Centre of Sarnia-Lambton. This free course is an excellent opportunity to support aspiring entrepreneurs in developing strong business foundations and preparing for the Starter Company Plus program.

  • Highland Glen & McEwen Parks Closed to Vehicles

    Please be advised that the entrance gates to Highland Glen Park & McEwen Park have been closed for the season as the Town does not provide snow maintenance within the parks. As a result, the Highland Glen boat launch is closed until the gates to the park are unlocked. Both parks will re-open in the spring of 2025 once the winter weather has passed. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Replacement of Walkway Decking at Lock 26 -Lakefield

    Parks Canada. would like to inform visitors and community members that access across the lock gates at Lock 26 – Lakefield will be closed to pedestrian traffic beginning.
