The Plympton-Wyoming Fire and Emergency department is a volunteer-based service that has two stations. There is a fire station located in Camlachie and in Wyoming. Please see the recruitment page for volunteer firefighter opportunities.
The Fire and Emergency Service department administration staffing is made up of a full-time Fire Chief, an administrative assistant, and two part-time/on-call District (Station) Fire Chiefs. The Fire department emergency services are provided by 60 part-time/on-call firefighters. They are responsible for the administration, management and operations of the fire prevention, fire suppression, medical and rescue services of the municipality.
