Garbage, Recycling and Waste

Garbage and recycling are collected every week on the days mapped out here

One large/bulk item (per household) will be collected every week with your regular garbage pick up.

Please ensure all Items for Garbage & Recycling Collection are placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m.

Avoid mixing garbage and recycling together in the same container.

Having a designated tote/bin for recycling and garbage collection is preferred.

Holidays will not change the pick-up schedule except for Christmas Day and New Years Day. Garbage/recycling scheduled for these days will be pushed back 1 calendar day. 

Recycling pick up in the Village of Wyoming is on Wednesday and Garbage pick up is on Thursday.
All other areas have garbage and recycling pick-up on the same day.

Yard Waste is accepted at Transco Recycling (387 McGregor Sideroad, Sarnia) for all residents of Plympton-Wyoming. It must be placed in a paper bag or container that can be easily dumped on site. Proof of residency is required, such as a tax or utility bill.

Yard Waste Pickup

Spring: April 28th - June 6th 2025

Fall: October 27th - November 28th 2025

Monday - Plympton - North of Lakeshore between Mandaumin and Fleming

Fridays - Town of Wyoming (no rural)

Yard waste MUST be in PAPER BAGS to be accepted.  Compost will also be collected if it is in a bin (33 gallon max) that is clearly marked with an X and must weigh less than 50 pounds. 

Yard waste in plastic bags will not be accepted commencing November 1, 2019.

Household hazardous waste depots are held at Clean Harbours Canada, Inc., 4090 Telfer Road, St. Clair Township, on the last Saturday of each month between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
