Garbage and Recycling

Garbage and recycling are collected weekly.  To find your collection date, view the Garbage and Recycling Collection Map.

Garbage and recycling are picked up on the same day.  Please ensure all items are placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m.  Do not mix garbage and recycling together in the same container.  

Holidays will not change the pick-up schedule except for Christmas Day and New Years Day. Garbage/recycling scheduled for these days will be collected the following day.

Recycling Collection Services Update
As of January 1, 2026, recycling collection in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming is provided by Emterra as part of Ontario’s producer responsibility recycling system, managed by Circular Materials on behalf of producers. There are no changes to recycling bins at this time, and residents should continue using their current bins and follow the recycling calendar for accepted materials.

One large/bulk item (per household) will be collected every week with your regular garbage pick up.

Recycling Collection Update

Yard Waste Disposal & Collection
Yard waste is accepted at Transco Recycling (387 McGregor Sideroad, Sarnia) for all residents of Plympton-Wyoming. Yard waste must be placed in paper yard waste bags or containers that can be easily emptied on site. Proof of residency is required (such as a tax bill or utility bill).

Curbside yard waste pickup is provided in select areas by Marcotte Disposal Inc. in the spring and fall. Details regarding 2026 pickup dates will be provided closer to the collection periods.

Pickup Schedule (where service is available):
Mondays – Plympton (north of Lakeshore Road from Mandaumin Road to Townsend Line, including the hamlet of Camlachie)
Fridays – Town of Wyoming (urban area only; no rural collection)

Residents outside these areas may continue to dispose of yard waste at Transco Recycling.

Yard Waste Set-Out Guidelines:
• Yard waste must be placed in paper yard waste bags to be accepted.
• Compost will also be collected if placed in a clearly marked bin (with an “X”), with a maximum size of 33 gallons and a maximum weight of 50 lbs.
• Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected.

Household hazardous waste depots are held at Clean Harbours Canada, Inc., 4090 Telfer Road, St. Clair Township, on the last Saturday of each month between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
