Fire prevention programs

The Fire department is dedicated to providing residents and businesses with effective fire prevention programs. Our Fire department personnel:

• Conduct annual inspections of commercial, industrial and residential buildings
• Review site and building plan submissions
• Respond to complaints about life safety issues
• Prosecute for lack of compliance, when required
• Conduct cause and origin investigations on fires for which a cause is not immediately evident or which results in an injury or death

Our personnel are in the community providing fire and injury prevention programs to schools, seniors centres, workplaces and more.
