2025 Public Swimming Schedule
Stay tuned in Spring of 2025!

The Wyoming Pool is an outdoor public pool, generally open every summer from Mid-June until the end of August. The pool is located beside McKay Park in Wyoming, Ontario (corner of Toronto Street and Ontario Street).

 

 Programs and Information
 
Private and Semi-Private
Private Lessons are available for swimmers who need assistance mastering a particular skill or stroke or for swimmers who do not thrive in group settings. Private lessons are available in 1 week, 5 lesson blocks (Monday-Friday). All lessons are 30 minutes in length. 
Semi-Private Lessons are available for 2 swimmers who are within one swimming level/ability from each other. i.e. Eligible swimmers may be in Swimmer 3 and Swimmer 4, or Preschool A and Preschool B. At the time of booking please book one swimmer in your preferred time slot. Afterwards you must contact the Pool (519-845-1047 or alifeguard@plympton-wyoming.ca) to add the additional swimmer, as our registration system does not have this capability at this time.
Group Lessons
Group Lessons run over a 2 week duration, on a daily basis (Monday-Friday). There are many dates and times to choose from, including Morning's and Evening's.

Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion, and Bronze Cross courses

(Available 2025 Courses will be posted closer to Spring/Summer)

 

Swim Team (Wyoming Waves)

Open to swimmers who can confidently swim two laps of the Pool. (If unsure, please call the pool to arrange an evaluation).
Training is typically 3 days a week 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

 

AquaFit / Lane Swim / Open Swim
 Inclement Weather
Wyoming Pool will close and/or cancel programming at the first sign of any inclement weather including; heavy rain/wind, thunder and lightning. No refunds available. 

Should 3 or more swimming lesson cancellations occur in one session, a make-up class will be scheduled.

Registrants will be notified of lesson cancellations through email and by phone. If you are unsure or have questions, please contact the Pool directly.  

 Healthy Etiquette and Foulings
  •  Shower before you swim! Everyone must take a cleansing shower with soap and water before entering or re-entering the pool
  • Food and drink is not permitted on the pool deck. 
  • All patrons must wear appropriate swimming attire. Swimming attire is defines as clean clothing used specifically for the purpose of swimming
  • No person having a communicable disease or open sores on their body shall enter the pool
  • No person shall pollute the water in the pool in any manner, and spitting, spouting of water and blowing the nose in the pool or on the deck are prohibited

 

pool fouling will force a closure of the pool anywhere from 1-24 hours. Here are some helpful tips to keep the pool clean: 

  • Wash thoroughly with soap and water in our showers before entering the pool
  • Make sure your child goes to the bathroom right before entering the pool
  • Take your child on frequent bathroom breaks
  • Use swim diapers - this are mandatory for children who are not fully toilet training, typically children three years of age and younger
  • Check your child's swim diaper often
  • Do not go swimming if you have been sick in the past 48 hours

 Refund and Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds for missed swimming lessons. Should 3 or more lessons be cancelled due to weather or foulings, the Pool will schedule 1 make-up lesson.

**Please note that registration is REQUIRED for: group lessons, private/semi-private lessons, swim team, Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross. Registration is NOT required for Aquafit.

Our registration platform is similar to those used by other Municipalities. It requires that everyone wanting to register for our programs create an account with all necessary parent/guardian and child information. 

**SEASON PASSES: If you are interested in purchasing a family season pass, fitness pass, or all access pass please stop by the pool Monday - Friday between 8:30 and 4:30. We accept debit, cash and check payments.

The spots you select in courses will be held for 5 minutes to allow you to select all of your desired courses and complete your payment. Payment is required at the time of registration, so please have your credit card ready before beginning the registration process.

Splash Pad

Operates 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.  Splash Pad is closed for the 2024 season - see you in the Spring!

Located beside the pool at 517 Ontario Street.
