Strategic Land Acquisition to Support Future Wastewater Infrastructure
The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has completed the purchase of approximately four acres of land from Southside Construction, located off Queen Street West in the Blue Coast Heights area.
Supporting Long-Term Growth and Infrastructure
This land acquisition is a key strategic initiative identified within the Town’s Wastewater Servicing Master Plan. The Master Plan provides a long-term roadmap to ensure the Town’s wastewater infrastructure can meet current demands and support future growth while maintaining reliability and sustainability.
Future Regional Pump Station
The acquired lands will be used to facilitate the construction of a regional pump station. This infrastructure will:
- Improve wastewater system performance and reliability
- Increase servicing capacity for existing residents
- Enable and support future community growth
- Address long-term infrastructure needs identified through planning
Additional Infrastructure Improvements
The project is also expected to include upgrades along Queen Street West, including improvements to the roadway and related servicing infrastructure.
Project Timeline
Construction of the regional pump station and associated works is currently anticipated to begin in 2028.
Planning for the Future
The Town has secured sufficient land to ensure flexibility for future upgrades and to maintain high-quality service delivery for residents now and into the future.
