Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) - Town Hall Regarding Old and Inactive Gas Wells in Ontario

On Wednesday, November 6, residents will receive a voicemail from the ministry inviting them to participate in the Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 7:00pm-8:00pm. The Ministry of Natural Resources is hosting a Telephone Town Hall for residents and landowners in the Counties of Elgin, Oxford, Middlesex and Lambton regarding old and inactive oil/gas wells.

 

The Telephone Town Hall will increase awareness and help residents and landowners better understand what it means to have an old and inactive well on their property. The ministry is also seeking feedback from residents and landowners to ensure the ongoing relevancy and effectiveness of the implementation of the old and inactive oil and gas wells Action Plan.
