9-1-1 Service Disruptions Largely Resolved

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have advised that the widespread 9-1-1 service disruptions reported across Ontario on September 17, 2026, have been largely resolved.

While emergency telephone service appears to have stabilized, the OPP has indicated that intermittent disruptions may still occur in some areas.

If you are unable to reach emergency services by dialing 9-1-1, please contact the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.

Residents are reminded not to call 9-1-1 to test the system.

The cause of the outage remains under investigation. The Town will continue to monitor the situation and share updates as information becomes available.
