    Plympton-Wyoming Hires New Fire Chief 

    Plympton-Wyoming, ON – The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has successfully recruited a new Director of Emergency Services / Fire Chief. The Town is pleased to announce that Will Davidson will be our new Fire Chief. Chief Davidson has been Acting as Fire Chief since August 2024 and is being welcomed as the Town’s permanent Fire Chief on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. 

  • Enbridge Gas teams up with Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department to Reduce Fire and Carbon Monoxide Deaths through Safe Community Project Zero

    Enbridge Gas has teamed up with the Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department to reduce fire and carbon monoxide deaths through the Safe Community Project Zero. The Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department has received 126 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms through Safe Community Project Zero– a public education campaign with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC).

  • Camlachie Community Centre - Main Hall Naming

    Wyoming, ON – On October 1st, 2024 an event was held at the Camlachie Community Centre (CCC) in honour of the former long-time Mayor of Plympton-Wyoming, Lonny Napper. Lonny served several terms of Council as Mayor and retired in 2022. To commemorate Lonny’s passion for the CCC and his involvement with the space, the main hall will now formally be known as ‘Napper Hall’. The sign was unveiled during the event Monday evening.

    Plympton-Wyoming Purchases Property in Reece’s Corners


    Wyoming, ON – The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has purchased an approximately eighteen-acre (18-acre) property in Reece’s Corners, known municipally as 4475 London Line. The property currently contains a commercial plaza with the balance of the land being open space/bush land.

  • Natural Gas Leak - May 13, 2024

    Wyoming, ON – The all-clear has been given after a natural gas leak occurred earlier today in the Wyoming area.   Shortly before 11:30 a.m. construction near the intersection of Broadway Street and Confederation Line resulted in the rupture of a natural gas main.  Emergency Services responded to the scene and a Shelter-In-Place order was placed in a 500m radius around the site of the leak.

  • 2024 Budget Approved

    January 29th 2024                               NEWS RELEASE                          For Immediate Release

    Plympton-Wyoming, ON - At a Special Council Meeting held January 25th 2024, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming considered and approved the 2024 Budget.  A 4% increase to the municipal levy was approved; the final tax rate will be calculated once the County of Lambton and School Board Levies are determined.

    Staff and Council came together during budget deliberations to share their opinions in a respectful and collaborative manner.  Arising from those discussions is a sound budget that allows the Town to meet strategic initiatives and improve infrastructure in a fiscally responsible manner.

    Plympton-Wyoming Hires New Director of Public Works 

     

    Plympton-Wyoming, ON – The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has successfully recruited a new Director of Public Works. The Town is pleased to announce that Paul daSilva will be joining the Town’s senior management team on Monday, November 20th, 2023. 

    Mr. daSilva brings an extensive municipal background to the Director of Public Works position, having over 16 years of experience with the Township of St. Clair.
