Commissioner of Oaths

Commissioner of oaths services are available free-of-charge.

Hours of operation

We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding statutory holidays. 

Documents that can be signed by a commissioner of oaths

A commissioner of oaths can sign documents, such as vehicle transfers, travel letters and pension forms, where you are required to swear an oath.

Please note that a commissioner of oaths is not a notary. For notary services, please contact a lawyer or public notary.

Requirements for signing

The person signing the form must appear in person before the commissioner.

Photo identification, such as a driver's licence, picture health card or passport, is required.
