Accessible parks and trails

Our parks, trails and monuments are also accessible, including:

• Camlachie cenotaph
• Wyoming cenotaph
• McKay Park (pool, splash pad and gazebo)
• Wyoming to Reeces Corners trail

We maintain a confidential database of residents with disabilities to provide assistance during an emergency situation. To ensure your safety during an emergency, it is vital that we are aware of your individual needs. Should you wish to register, please call 519-845-3939.

As part of the AODA, the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) requires the Town to:

• Create policies and procedures
• Create a multi-year accessibility plan
• Acquire goods and services that meet accessibility criteria
• Provide staff training

The AODA includes accessibility standards for customer service. To meet these standards businesses and organizations must:

• Provide training for all staff
• Have policies and procedures in place
• Offer alternate formats
• Have a feedback mechanism
• Provide notice of service disruptions
• Allow service animals and support persons
