Wyoming Community Foundation Update

Members of the Wyoming Community Foundation continue with the Foundation’s focus to improve the quality of life for residents in the Wyoming community in its annual support of projects being undertaken by local groups and organizations.  

During its Annual Meeting held this past December, members approved a total disbursement of $34,500, with varying amounts being granted to the Wyoming Lions Club, the Plympton-Wyoming Agricultural Society, the Wyoming Firefighters Association, the Plympton-Wyoming Special Events Committee, the Royal Canadian Legion, and to the Plympton-Wyoming municipality.  As well, the funding of two bursaries, $1,000 each, at the Petrolia LCCVI Highschool to Wyoming students continuing with post-graduate studies, was approved.   Since incorporating in 2000, the Foundation has provided a total amount of $615,000 to various groups and organizations in the Wyoming community.
