Upcoming Sewer Flushing Notice

Starting Monday, March 30th, Wyoming will undergo routine sewer flushing for approximately 3 weeks. This important maintenance work will be completed by GFL Environmental.

What to expect:

• You may notice temporary odours during the flushing process — these should dissipate quickly.

• The operation is noisy at times due to the equipment being used.

• The flushing action can create a slight vacuum in the sewer system, which may:

          o Cause sloshing in toilets

          o Potentially draw water out of P-traps

Helpful tips:

• If you notice a sewer odour in your home, simply run your tap for a few seconds to refill the trap.

• We recommend keeping toilet lids closed during this time to prevent any splashing.

Please note that this is a mobile operation, so it’s difficult to provide exact dates and locations for the work in advance.
