Shelter-in-place ENDED

2:20 p.m. May 13th - Enbridge Gas has controlled the leak, deemed the area to be safe, and has provided the all-clear. The shelter in place has been lifted and roads are now opened. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this incident.
1:55 p.m. May 13th - Highschool students who live in the Wyoming area (LCCVI & St. Patrick’s) will be held at school until the shelter-in-place has been lifted.
Enbridge is on site but has not yet provided a time on when the area will be safe and the shelter-in-place can be lifted. The Emergency Control Group is requesting that all students remain sheltered-in-place at all schools within the Wyoming proper area (Holy Rosary, Wyoming Public, Wyoming Wee Ones Daycare & John Knox). Students will be released once the leak is isolated and it is safe to do so.

1:40 p.m. May 13th - Enbridge Gas has determined a solution and work is underway to control the gas leak. The shelter-in-place is still in effect at this time. Roads have been closed as indicated on the attached map to control traffic go in and out of the affected area.
1:00 p.m. May 13th - Enbridge Gas is on-site assessing the leak. Enbridge currently does not have an estimated time in which the leak will be resolved. OPP are on-site ensuring no one is permitted to enter or leave the controlled area for safety reasons.
12:25 p.m. May 13th - Wyoming residents bound by the County Administration Building to the north, Ketter Way to the east, Thames Street to the south, and Centennial Street to the west are advised to shelter-in-place due to a natural gas leak in the area.
Bring all people and pets inside and stay inside until further notice. Close all windows and doors. Turn off heating and cooling systems. Monitor the Town of Plympton-Wyoming's website and Facebook page for updates.
11:45 a.m. May 13th - A natural gas line has been ruptured in the area of Confederation Line and Broadway Street. Those located within a 500m radius are asked to shelter in place until the leak has been stopped. Volunteer firefighters are on scene to notify those within the area. Updates will be posted as they become available.
