NOTICE OF SALE OF LAND BY PUBLIC TENDER

TOWN OF PLYMPTON-WYOMING

TAKE NOTICE THAT Council has declared the following parcel of land to be surplus to the needs of the municipality:

Concession 8 E Part Lot 15 4496 Egremont Road in Camlachie

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that bids are invited for the purchase of the land(s) described and will be received until 12:00p.m. local time on Monday August 19th, 2024, at the Town of Plympton-Wyoming office, 546 Niagara St, Wyoming, On N0N 1T0.

The Town of Plympton-Wyoming will be hosting two open houses to view the property on August 13, 2024, one from 2pm-4pm and another from 6pm-8pm.

This sale is governed by the Municipal Act, 2001 and municipal by-law 28 of 2011. Bids shall be properly labeled with “Tender: Old Plympton Township Hall - 4496 Egremont Road”, sealed in an envelope, and submitted no later than the closing date and time. Any offer received will be reviewed in a Closed Meeting Session by Council, who will determine whether or not to accept the offer submitted. This will take place during the August 28th, 2024 Planning Council Meeting; applicants will be notified after this time.

NOTE: It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the bid submission is received prior to closing. The Town of Plympton-Wyoming accepts no responsibility for any delays in internal handling or processing which may arise for bids which are not personally delivered. To reduce the risk, where the bid envelope is contained in some other form of wrapping or packaging (i.e. courier envelope), vendors shall clearly mark the most external wrapping or packaging with the word “Tender” so as to assist in identifying it for internal handling purposes. Faxed or e-mailed tenders will not be accepted.
