Michigan Line Closure: O’Brien Road to Camlachie Road

Michigan Line Reconstruction - 2024

Please be advised that Michigan Line wiill be closed from June 3rd to approximately July 12th, 2024 for roadwork. Michigan Line will be closed to through traffic at the location noted below, however access will be maintained for local traffic. Please note the schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The proposed works for the 2024 construction season will consist of pulverizing the existing surface treatment, the addition of sub-drains, minor ditch re-grading, road base reconstruction and the placement of additional granular road base. The roadway will be hard resurfaced from the end of the section completed in 2023 to a point approximately 700m west of Camlachie Road.

Local traffic will be able to access properties however, periodic delays may be experienced when construction activities are in close proximity to your laneway.

Garbage and Recycling Collection: If your pick-up point is temporarily blocked by construction, the Contractor will assist in collecting and transporting your garbage and recycling. PLEASE CLEARLY MARK YOUR GARBAGE CAN(S) AND BLUE BOX(ES) WITH YOUR 911 ADDRESS TO HELP ENSURE THAT THEY ARE RETURNED TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS.
