County of Lambton - Housing Services collecting input on local housing needs

County of Lambton

NEWS RELEASE

Sarnia, ON - The County of Lambton’s Housing Services department is conducting a Housing Needs Assessment to help better understand current and future housing needs across our region.

Part of the Assessment includes a public feedback survey to collect community input on public perspectives on what an “ideal community” looks like, and what kinds of housing is needed to reach that state.

The survey is available online at lambtononline.ca/housing until Wednesday, December 10, and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey is confidential.

“Insights shared by survey participants will help guide our future planning and decision-making and ensure it reflects the values and priorities of residents in Lambton County,” said Melisa Johnson, Manager, Housing Services. “Please share your feedback and insights to help build a better community for all.”

Survey results are being collected by Tim Welch Consulting Inc. (TWC), who the County has engaged to complete the Housing Needs Assessment. In addition to the survey, TWC will be interviewing select community organizations, service providers, and stakeholder groups to help further inform the Housing Needs Assessment.

The results of the Housing Needs Assessment will be shared with County Council in 2026.
