Camlachie Community Centre - Main Hall Naming

Wyoming, ON – On October 1^st, 2024 an event was held at the Camlachie Community Centre (CCC) in honour of the former long-time Mayor of Plympton-Wyoming, Lonny Napper. Lonny served several terms of Council as Mayor and retired in 2022. To commemorate Lonny’s passion for the CCC and his involvement with the space, the main hall will now formally be known as ‘Napper Hall’. The sign was unveiled during the event Monday evening.

Approximately 80 people attended the unveiling event; attendees included Plympton-Wyoming residents, current and former politicians from across the county, as well as administrators from across the county.

“As a tribute to a man who has given so much of his life and time to his community, and to recognize the time that he has spent at this Facility, it is my pleasure to announce and proclaim, that from this date forward this hall will now be called - Napper Hall” said Mayor Gary Atkinson during his speech.
