Lake Huron boasts some of the most spectacular beaches and we're so fortunate to have several public beaches in Plympton-Wyoming! Below are some tips to help keep our beaches enjoyable for everyone:
- Put trash into designated receptacles and bring large items home - everyone has a role to play in keeping our public beaches clean. Practice 'leave no trace' and clean-up any garbage after you visit one of our beaches.
- Respect private property - many of our public beaches abut private beaches, please respect these property owners and their space.
- Respect beach habitats - beaches are important habitats for animals and vegetation, please don't disturb them.
- Try visiting on a weekday - the beaches are far less busy during the week than on weekends. This gives everyone a little more elbow room and makes it easier to find parking.
- Keep dogs leashed - not all beach-goers love dogs. Dogs are welcome on Plympton-Wyoming beaches so long as they are leashed and controlled.
- Be respectful of those around you - be mindful of others trying to enjoy their time at the beach. Keep amplified music to a reasonable level, play games without inconveniencing others, and try to make all interactions positive.
