Council Highlights
Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, March 23rd, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Received a request for a Second House Agreement for the lands municipally known as 3468 Michigan Line and passed By-Law 25 of 2026 to execute the agreement.
- Supported Cargill Sarnia Grain Terminal by directing staff to send a letter to the Minister of Municipal Affairs regarding the Ministerial Zoning Order for 485 Harbour Road in Sarnia.
- Held a Public Meeting regarding Zoning By-law Amendment 22 of 2026 regarding the Removal of the Holding Symbol for 5 lots on Sante Drive and passed By-Law 22 of 2026 to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 25th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Received a report regarding the County Road 21 (Broadway Street) in Wyoming Heavy Truck Volumes and directed staff to approach the County of Lambton regarding an origin-destination study.
- Received a report regarding the Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department (PWFD) Fourth Quarter.
- Received a report regarding the Thames, Niagara and Main Street Reconstruction Tender Results, accepted the tender from Schouten Excavating Inc. in the amount of $2,375,712.00 incl. HST and passed By-law 26 of 2026 to facilitate the agreement.
- Received a report regarding the Replacement of Groyne on Mandaumin Road – Lake Huron Shoreline, released the existing contract with Babcock Marine & Shoreline Services, and accepted the revised quote submitted by Gordon Shoreline Marine in the amount of $100,000 plus HST.
- Received correspondence relating to the 2026 Bluewater Triathlon, Duathlon and AquaBike, approved the outlined route and directed staff to provide traffic signs and barriers for the event.
- Supported correspondence item d from the Municipality of Bluewater regarding Ontario Regulation 391-21: Blue Box.
- Supported correspondence item f from County of Prince Edward regarding OPP: Sustainable Police Services Funding.
- Supported correspondence item e from AROS regarding Provincial Legislation Amendments, Health and Safety Concerns.
- Delegated authority to the Chief Administrative Officer to take and direct the taking of all steps he deems advisable in relation to OLT-25-000882, 3209 Egremont Road Minor Variance Appeal, and any related proceedings.
- Held a Court of Revision for the Jackson Drain.
