Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 11^th, 2026, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

·         Heard a delegation from Mike Gorgey, General Manager of the Long-Term Care Division at the County of Lambton regarding the Small House Project.

·         Received a report regarding the Proposed Town of Plympton-Wyoming 25th Anniversary Branding and endorsed an alternate branding presented during the meeting.

·         Received a report regarding the 2025 Public Sector Salary Disclosure.

·         Received a report regarding the 2026 Spring Newsletter and approved its distribution with the Interim Tax Billing.

·         Supported local action by Lambton Public Health to reduce the risk of West Nile virus and authorized any permit application for West Nile virus control submitted to the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change from an appropriately licensed exterminator, to apply a larvicide into catch basins or surface water:

o   located within and owned/managed by the Town of Plympton-Wyoming; and

o   located on private land that drain into the storm drain system or water ways located within the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.

·        Supported correspondence item ‘a’ from Niagara-on-the-Lake regarding Swim to Survive.
