Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, January 26th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

• Heard a Delegation from Jessica Jessome and Jennifer Bailey related to an Interim Control By-law presentation.
• Council delegated authority to the Chief Administrative Officer regarding 2 OLT appeals for 5507 Co-op Street, 5309 and 5310 Leyton Street.

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, January 28th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming

• Passed By-law 11 of 2026, being a by-law to establish an interim tax rate, to authorize the payment of taxes, and to impose a penalty and interest of 1.25 percent per month on taxes in default.
• Received correspondence from the Camlachie Firefighters Association and waived the rental and insurance fees for the Camlachie Community Centre ($508.50) where they will be hosting their Camlachie Firefighters Ball Fundraiser on February 7th 2026.
• Supported correspondence item ‘f’ from North Grenville & Merrickville-Wolford OPP Detachment Board regarding enhanced school bus safety and the implementation of stop-arm camera systems.
• Held a Consideration meeting for the Toronto St. Drain - Thames St. East and Niagara St. East Branch Drains and passed first and second readings of Provisional By-law 10 of 2026.
• Held a Consideration meeting for the Barnes Drain (2025) and Associated Branch Drains and passed first and second readings of Provisional By-law 9 of 2026.
