2025 12 10 & 12 15 Regular and Planning Council Meeting Highlights

Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

·         Received a report regarding a Façade and Structural Improvement Program Submission for 582 Broadway Street and approved the application for funding.

·         Received a report regarding the 2025 Third Quarter Budget Update.

·         Received a report regarding Summary of Requests for Drain Maintenance between June 20, 2025, and December 1, 2025.

·         Received a report regarding an update on the ongoing railway issues in relation to the Drainage Act.

·         Received a report regarding Facility Use Agreement between the Town of Plympton-Wyoming and the Huron Shores Optimists - Camlachie Community Centre and passed By-law 120 of 2025 as amended to facilitate the agreement. The amendments included rewording to remove the term “demised premises” and changing the term of the agreement to 2 years.

·         Received a report regarding the Marcotte Waste Collection Contract Extension and approved a 7-year contract amendment submitted by Marcotte Disposal Inc. on December 10th, 2025. A By-law and agreement will come back at a later date for consideration.

·         Received a report regarding the Potential Truck Restrictions on County Road 21 (Broadway Street) in Wyoming.

·         Approved By-law 122 of 2025 to facilitate an agreement with R. Dobbin Engineering for Consultant Services for the Reconstruction of Fleming Road.

·         Supported correspondence item ‘b’ from the Municipality of Welland regarding Standing Together for Justice and the Protection of Canada’s Children.

·         Held a Consideration meeting for the MacFarlane Award Drain Extension and passed first and second readings of Provisional By-law 123 of 2025.

·         Held a Consideration meeting for the Trusler Drain (2025) and Associated Branch Drains and passed first and second readings of Provisional By-law 124 of 2025.


Wyoming, ON –
At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, December 15th, 2025, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

·         Received a report regarding County of Lambton Preliminary Land Needs Assessment Results for the Town of Plympton-Wyoming and endorsed the summarized comments to be submitted by staff.

·         Received a report regarding Wilhelm Inc. Subdivision Assumption and passed By-law 126 of 2025 for the Wilhelm Subdivision Assumption.

·         Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 6851 Fleming Road, to rezone the subject lands and approved Zoning By-law Amendment 110 of 2025, being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
