Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, October 27th 2025, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding removal of the Holding symbol from lands known municipally as 4398 Confederation Line and passed By-Law 107 of 2025.
  • Heard a delegation from Lisa Courtney from B.M. Ross and Associates Ltd. providing an information session on Development Charges.
  • Received a report regarding a housekeeping amendment to the Town’s Zoning By-law related to Additional Residential Units (ARU’s) and passed By-law 98 of 2025.
  • Received an update regarding the County of Lambton’s Official Plan Review and Council requested an extension to the public feedback period and requested a Senior County Planning Official present at a future Planning Council meeting.

 

Wyoming, ONAt its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, October 29th 2025, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received and approved a report regarding the 2026 Council and Committee Meeting Calendar and directed staff to publish the dates on the Town’s website.
  • Received a report regarding a Request for Apportionment of Drainage Assessment Due to Severance of Land and approved the apportionment for the Brand Drain, Boonie Doon Creek Drain, and Hicks Dain.
  • Received a report regarding the 2026 Creative County Grant program, directed staff to begin planning the Town of Plympton-Wyoming's 25th Anniversary commemoration and celebrations, apply to the 2026 Creative County grant for said commemoration and celebrations, and include funds in the proposed 2026 budget accordingly.
  • Received a report regarding the 2026 Ontario Trillium Fund Grow Grant and directed staff to apply for said grant as well as include funds in the proposed 2026 budget for a one-year contract Strategic Communications Administrative Assistant position.
  • Received a report regarding the Paul Park Drain Maintenance and accepted a tender from JLH Excavating Inc. in the amount of $14,972.50 including HST and passed By-law 112 of 2025 to facilitate the agreement.
  • Received a report regarding Former Lamrecton Worship Hall - Public Use Review.
  • Read By-law 76 of 2025 a third and final time for the Park Drain Section 76 Report (2025).
  • Read By-law 77 of 2025 a third and final time for the Waterside Estates Drain.
