Council Highlights
Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
· Heard a delegation from Ross George and Mark Steadman of George + Steadman Properties, accompanied by Kim Godin and Melissa Fitzpatrick of the County of Lambton, and Penny Kearney of Kiddies Korner daycare, regarding plans to add 3 daycare classrooms to the Wyoming United Church Property on Second Street.
· Received a report regarding SCRCA Updated Hearing Guidelines and directed staff to send a letter St. Clair Region Conservation Authority Board of Directors expressing objection to the guidelines as they stifle the community's voice by not allowing their elected representatives to sit on the hearing committee.
· Passed a resolution urging the Province of Ontario to reconsider their mandate freezing Conservation Authority fees and implement a funding framework that protects municipal taxpayers from cost recovery deficits, while supporting a sustainable and balanced approach to conservation authority financing.
· Received a report regarding inclusion in the Middlesex County Connect Transit System and defeated Middlesex County Connect's amended proposal to provide a transit connection to the Camlachie area for $8,743.78 annually for five years.
· Received a report regarding the Updated Automatic Aid Agreement Renewal with Lambton Shores and passed By-law 109 of 2025 to facilitate the agreement.
· Held a Court of Revision meeting for the Shea-Ferguson Drain.
