Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, August 25th 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding the future installation of a multi-use trail spanning from 4398 Confederation Line to the existing sidewalk connection on London St. to promote pedestrian connectivity and accepted a Cash-in-lieu payment from Gold Leaf Properties of $25,000 towards the installation of a multi-use trail.
  • Received a letter from the St. Clair Conservation Foundation regarding the Maples woodlot lands, and directed staff to respond to the SCC Foundation that the Town is not interested in acquiring the lands, and offers the foundation assistance in reviewing potential planning processes that may assist in surplusing the lands if they wish to do so; and directed staff to author a letter to the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority Board of Directors noting the Town's objection to the Conservation Authority taking over management of the lands.

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Approved an extension to an existing contract with GFL Environmental in the amount of $62,370.84 plus HST for trenchless sanitary sewer repairs.
  • Approved the distribution of the 2025 Fall Newsletter with the Final Tax Billing.
  • Approved the Municipal Grant Policy and Grant Application, as amended.
  • Passed By-law 90 of 2025 to appoint Lisa Smeekens as a Deputy Clerk.
  • Passed By-law 94 of 2025 to execute an agreement with Hollandia Gardens Limited.
  • Supported the renaming of Ball Diamond #2 at Arnold Minielly Park to “Al and Arlene Casier Ball Diamond”.
  • Granted Sarnia Malayalee Association an exemption to allow for a mobile food truck to operate on public property for a Special Event as defined in By-law 6 of 2024.
