Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, August 13^th 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

·         Received a report regarding the Ontario Trillium Foundation: 2025 Seed Grant Recommendation and supported the application to Update the Existing Community Improvement Plan and Grant Program to include Camlachie Business Area and include additional economic development initiatives.

·         Received a report regarding the Annett Drain and accepted a tender by McNally Excavating Ltd. in the amount of $136,391.00 including HST and passed By-law 85 of 2025.

·         Received a report regarding the McDonald-Gillatly and McDonald Drains and accepted a tender from McNally Excavating Ltd., in the amount of $1,199,043.00 including HST and passed By-law 87 of 2025.

·         Received a report regarding the McColl-O’Donnell Drain Tender Results and accepted a tender by McNally excavating Ltd. for $219,107.00 including HST and passed By-law 86 of 2025.

·         Received a report regarding the Errol Road Drain Culvert Replacement and accepted a tender by Bruce Poland & Sons trucking Inc. for $37,978.17 including HST and passed By-law 84 of 2025.

·         Received a report regarding a request for Drain Improvement for the Canton Drain and appointed M. Gerrits Consulting Inc. under Section 78 of the Drainage Act to provide a report.

·         Approved By-law 82 of 2025, being a By-law for the Camlachie Summer Send-off / Huron Shores Optimists and supported an agreement with the Huron Shores Optimists for the use of public facilities and waived the $80.00 agreement fee.

·         Approved By-law 32 of 2025, being a By-law for the Third Reading of the Annett Drain.

·         Approved By-law 31 of 2025, being a By-law for the Third Reading of the McColl-O’Donnell Drain.

·         Approved Collection By-law 83 of 2025, being a By-law for the Third Reading of the Maintenance, Repair and Improvement of Drainage Works By-law within the Town of Plympton-Wyoming for 2024.

·         Approved By-law 89 of 2025, being a By-law for the Wyoming Lions Club and supported an agreement for the use public facilities and waived the $260.00 gazebo and agreement rental fee.

·         Held a Court of Revision meeting for the Fieldview Estates Drain.

·         Council supported the following items of correspondence:

o   St. Catharines Resolution – AMO re: Elect Respect Pledge
