Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, July 9^th 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

·         Received a report regarding a request for apportionment of drainage assessments for Apportionment of Drainage Assessment due to Severance of Land for the Anderson Drain, McGrail Drian, Bonnie Doon Creek Drain, Hicks Drain and McFarlane Drain.

·         Received a report regarding the Fisher Line Rehabilitation and approved Sevcon Paving for the amount of $398,044 plus HST as an extension of the existing Michigan Line Reconstruction contract and any additional funds to be funded by the projected surplus of the Confederation Line Reconstruction project.

·         Received a report regarding the 2025 Asphalt Resurfacing-Additional Road Segments report and approved the proposal for the contract to be expanded by DiCocco Contractors Ltd. in the amount of $156,500 plus HST to include Harris Point Drive and Dalrymple Street.

·         Received a report regarding the Wyoming Pool Rehabilitation Update and supported a formal request for allocation of funds from the pool reserve held in trust from the Wyoming Community Foundation and the Wyoming Lions Club. Council approved a sole source contract with Hollandia Pools & Spas in the amount of $470,000 plus HST for the 2026 season.

·         Received a report regarding Devonshire Road – No Parking Recommendation and approved the installation of ‘No Parking’ signage along the entire south side of Devonshire Road.

·         Approved By-law 66 of 2025, being a By-law for the Hicks Drain final costing.

·         Approved By-law 67 of 2025, being a By-law for the McAndrew Drain Kiff Drain Branch Final Costing.

·         Approved By-law 68 of 2025, being a By-law for the Whiting Drain Final Costing.

·         Approved By-law 69 of 2025, being a By-law for the Mongomery Drain – Perry and Harrison Branch Drains Final Costing.

·         Approved By-law 70 of 2025, being a By-law for the O’Brien Branch ‘A’ Drain Final Costing.

·         Approved By-law 72 of 2025, being a By-law for the Maple Street Drain Final Costing.

·         Approved By-law 73 of 2025, being a By-law for the Kernohan O’Donnell Drain Final Costing.

·         Approved By-law 74 of 2025, being a By-law for the Carmichael Improvements Final Costing.
