Council Highlights
Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Mayor Atkinson presented resident Adrian Verwegen with the 2025 Plympton-Wyoming Senior of the Year Award.
- Received a report regarding the Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department’s First Quarter Report as information.
- Received a report regarding a request for Drain Improvement for the Jackson Drain and Council appointed R. Dobbin Engineering Inc. to prepare a report.
- Received a report regarding ‘Purchase of 25 Ton Float Trailer’ and approved the quote submitted by Loadstar Trailers Inc. at the cost of $61,248.53 net HST.
- Received a report regarding Summary of Requests for Drain Maintenance between May 1, 2025 and June 19, 2025 as information.
- Passed Third Reading of By-law 37 of 2025 for the Kernohan-O’Donnell Drain (Sc 76).
- Passed Third Reading of By-law 38 of 2025 for the McDonald-Gillatly and McDonald Drains.
- Passed By-law 62 of 2025 appointing a Drainage Superintendent and Council welcomed Ryan Tamming as the new Drainage Coordinator.
- Received correspondence from the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 388 and declared their event on Saturday, August 16th as a “Municipally Significant” event in accordance with the regulation for a Special Occasion Permit by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
- Held a Court of Revision meeting for the Annett Drain; Court Confirmed Schedules of Assessment as contained in the Engineers Report dated April 25, 2025.
- Held a Court of Revision meeting for the McColl-O'Donnell Drain; Court confirmed Schedules of Assessment as contained in the Engineers Report dated May 2, 2025.
- Held a Consideration Meeting for the Plan 28 and 486 Drain; passed first and second reading of By-Law 61 of 2025.
Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, June 30th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Received a report regarding Parkland Fees for Surplus Farm Dwelling Severances.
- Received a report regarding Street Naming for Subdivision 38T-24001 (Sundance Estates) and approved the proposed names.
- Received a report regarding an extension request for Draft Plan of Condominium 38C-21005 and advised the County of Lambton that the town had no concerns regarding an extension.
- Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 3096 Lakeshore Rd, approved Zoning By-law Amendment 36 of 2025 and passed By-law 36 of 2025 being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
- Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 4356 Churchill Line, approved Zoning By-law Amendment 55 of 2025 and passed By-law 55 of 2025 being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
