Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, May 26th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

Passed a Resolution calling for the pause of BILL 5 PROTECT ONTARIO BY UNLEASHING OUR ECONOMY ACT 2025
Received a report regarding a Limiting Distance Agreement for the lands municipally known as 4473 Aberarder Line and passed By-Law 54 of 2025 to execute the agreement.

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 28th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

Received a report regarding a Petition for Drainage Works by Owners in Hillcrest Heights, accepted the petitions as filed on May 21, 2025, and appointed R. Dobbin Engineering Ltd. to make an examination of the area requiring drainage and prepare a report on matter.
Received a report regarding the replacement of the groyne on Mandaumin Road-Lake Huron shoreline, accepted the proposal $105,000 plus HST, and passed By-law 56 of 2025.
Received a report regarding the Community Futures Lambton Payment Agreement and received a payment for $2500.00 to enhance the Christmas in the Village event and passed By-law 53 of 2025 to facilitate the agreement.
Received a report regarding the Plympton-Wyoming Special Events Committee Celebrate Canada Event and declared the event as “municipally significant” for a Special Occasion Permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
Council supported the following item of correspondence:
- Resolution from Chatham-Kent regarding Bill 5
