Council Highlights
Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, March 24th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Heard a Presentation from Jesse Auspitz and Joe Nethery, NPG Planning Solutions related to the Town of Plympton-Wyoming Zoning Review
Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 26th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Heard a delegation from Canoe Procurement regarding procurement services.
- Received a report for information regarding Traffic Study in Errol Village which included the findings from two traffic studies.
- Received a report regarding the proposed Huron Shores Optimist Community Project’s Fundraising Plan.
- Defeated a motion to reconsider a previous motion from February 2024 regarding the minimum fundraising goals for the proposed Huron Shores Optimist ice rink project.
- Received a report regarding the Condolences and Congratulations Policy and Council approved the policy.
- Received a report regarding the 2025 Spring Newsletter. Council approved the newsletter that will be distributed with the Interim Tax Billing in April.
- Received a report and approved By-law 27 of 2025 being an update to the Traffic and Parking By-law 72 of 2018.
- Received a report and approved By-law 15 of 2025 being an update to the Sewer Use Discharge By-law 67 of 2017.
- Received a report regarding the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund. Council endorsed the application to the CHIF to complete priority projects in the approved Wastewater Masterplan.
- Received a report regarding the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections Method and Request for Proposals. Council endorsed the use of internet and telephone voting as an alternative voting method for the 2026 municipal election and authorized staff to participate in a joint request for proposals for an internet and telephone voting service provider for the 2026 elections.
- Received correspondence from the County of Lambton for the 2025 Larvicide Program. Council endorsed the action by Lambton Public Health to reduce the risk of West Nile virus into catch basins or surface water located within and owned/managed by the Town.
- Received and defeated a request for an exemption to half-load restrictions for 2025.
- Council supported correspondence item ‘j’ from the Lambton Group OPP Detachment Board regarding the Continued Provincial Billing Statement Supplement.
