Council Highlights

 

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, January 27th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding the delegation of Draft Plan of Subdivision and Draft Plan of Condominium approval authority to the town and decided on the following:
    • To withdraw the request to delegation of approval authority to the Town of Plympton-Wyoming Council
    • To direct staff to work with the approval authority to strengthen communication and the approval processes to ensure Council's and the communities wishes are better represented
  • Received a report regarding an extension request for Plan of Condominium 38C-11002 and directed staff to advise the County of Lambton that there are no concerns with the approval of said request.
  • Received a report regarding assumption of Phase 2 of Plan of Subdivision 38T-08005 and approved By-law 12 of 2025.
  • Received Correspondence regarding an extension of an approval to place a Sea-Can in the laneway of 731 Broadway St and approved a three-month extension of said approval.
  • Received Correspondence regarding updates to the Thames-Sydenham Source Protection Plan and passed a motion endorsing said updates.
  • Supported correspondence item d) regarding the Town of Kearny’s letter to the MMAH.

 

 

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, January 29th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding 2024 Wyoming Public Cemetery Year-End Update.
  • Received a report regarding a new Schedule of Assessment for the repair and maintenance of the Park Drain and appointed R. Dobbin Engineering Inc. under Section 76 of the Drainage Act to produce a new schedule of maintenance for the Park Drain.
  • Deferred a report regarding Plympton-Wyoming Drinking Water Master Plan Update.
  • Passed By-law 13 of 2025 being a By-law to appoint a Deputy Clerk for the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.
  • Passed By-law 14 of 2025 authorizing the execution of an agreement considered in closed session.
  • Held a Special Council Meeting for 2025 Budget Deliberations with discussions to be resumed on February 12th 2025.
