Council Highlights

 

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, November 25th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding the Housing Needs Assessment Carried Out for Housing Accelerator Fund 2.0.
  • Received a report regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment for Additional Residential Units on Residential and Agricultural lots within the Town of Plympton-Wyoming and directed staff to prepare a Zoning By-law amendment to permit Additional Residential Units in alignment with legislation.

 

 

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, November 27th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding Development Engineering Review Fees - Municipal Comparison and directed staff to include cost recovery development review engineering fees for consideration in the 2025 Fees and User Charges By-law.
  • Received and approved a report regarding the 2024 - 2029 Town of Plympton-Wyoming Multi-Year Accessibility Plan Update and passed By-law 141 of 2024.
  • Received a report regarding a Petition for Drainage Works by Owners – Part Lot 15, Concession 1 (402 Broadway Street), accepted the petition, and appointed M. Gerrits Consulting Inc. to make an examination of the area and prepare a report on the matter.
  • Received a report regarding the Tender results for the removal of trees for the 2024/2025 season and accepted the bid from Wyoming Tree Service for $13,814.25 including HST.
  • Received a report regarding the Tender Results for the McIntyre Drain Maintenance, accepted the tender from GM Construction for $30,244.45 including HST, and passed By-law 139 of 2024 to facilitate the agreement.
  • Received a report regarding the third quarter 2024 budget update.
  • Defeated a motion to receive a report regarding the OPP False Alarm By-law and therefore did not approved By-law 140 of 2024.
  • Deferred consideration of a report regarding the Annual Arena User Fee Agreement with the Town of Petrolia for Greenwood Recreation Centre.
  • Received a report regarding the Strategic Asset Management Policy Update and approved the updated policy.
  • Received a report regarding the 2024 Asset Management Plan and approved the plan.
  • Completed a third reading and finally passed By-law 93 of 2024 for the Saul Drain being a By-Law to provide for drainage works in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming, in the County of Lambton.
