Council Highlights
Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, October 28th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Received a report outlining key changes to Planning Notice Requirements outlined in Bill 185.
- Received a report regarding Development Review Engineering Fees and approved the new fees to be included in the 2025 Comprehensive Fees and User Charges By-law.
- Received a report regarding a Second House Agreement at 4029 Confederation Line and passed By-law 132 of 2024 to execute said agreement.
- Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 3346 Michigan Line, denied Zoning By-law Amendment 118 of 2024 and denied By-law 118 of 2024 being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
- Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 4473 Aberarder Line, approved Zoning By-law Amendment 119 of 2024 and passed By-law 119 of 2024 being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
- Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 5182 London Line, approved Zoning By-law Amendment 124 of 2024 and passed By-law 124 of 2024 being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, October 30th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Received a report regarding the Proposed Huron Shores Optimist Community Project Location Selection and endorsed the proposed location between Diamond One and the Camlachie Cultural Library Museum.
- Received a report regarding Requests for Drain Maintenance for the period of July 1, 2024 - September 30, 2024.
- Received a report regarding a Petition for Drainage Works by Owners – Lots 12 and 13, Concession 9, accepted the petition as filed, and appointed M. Gerrits Consulting Inc. to make an examination of the area and prepare a report on the matter.
- Received a report regarding The Building By-law - A By-Law Respecting Construction, Demolition, Change of use Permits and Inspections; repealed By-law 46 of 2014; and passed By-law 128 of 2024 as amended.
- Received a report regarding the Animal Control By-law, being a By-law to Provide for the Licensing, Control and Regulation of Dogs; repealed By-law 79 of 2013; and passed By-law 129 of 2024.
- Received and approved a report regarding the 2025 Council and Committee Meeting Calendar and directed staff to publish the dates on the Town’s website.
- Received a report regarding Remembrance Day Pole Banners and the 2025 Creative County Grant Program; directed staff to execute a Remembrance Day pole banner program for 2025 and to include monies in the 2025 budget for the program; and supported an application to the 2025 Creative County Grant for funding to create a Remembrance Day pole banner program.
- Received a report regarding the Egremont Road Culvert Replacement - Tender Results, accepted the tender from Van Bree Drainage and Bulldozing in the amount of $55,049.00 plus HST, and passed By-law 131 of 2024.
- Received and approved a report regarding the 2024-2025 Winter Operations Plan.
- Passed By-law 127 of 2024 being a by-law to authorize the issue of Debentures for the construction of seven drainage works in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.
- Received the draft St. Clair Region Conservation Authority Conservation Lands Strategy.
- Council supported the following items of correspondence:
- Resolution from the Town of the Blue Mountains regarding the establishment of an Ontario Rural Road Safety Program
