Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, January 29th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding a Deeming Bylaw for Lots 12 to 22, Registered Plan 496 Bluewater Developments Inc. (Blue Coast Horizon) and passed By-law 9 of 2024 to deem the subject lands to not be a registered plan of subdivision.
  • Received a report regarding Bluewater Developments Inc. assumption and passed By-law 10 of 2024 to assume the works and services on Blue Coast Heights, Registered Plan 25M-81 and 496, and Plan 25R-10974.
  • Received a report regarding a Request for Draft Plan of Condominium Extension – Bluepoint Condominiums and directed staff to advise the County of Lambton that there are no concerns with granting an extension of draft plan approval to the plan of condominium known as 38C-11002.
  • Held a Public Meeting regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment for 0 Hillsboro Rd, received comments from the public, and deferred the application directing staff to work with the developer on a modified proposal.
  • Held a Public Meeting regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment for 4386 Confederation Line, received comments from the public, and approved Zoning By-law Amendment 4 of 2024.
  • Held a Public Meeting regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment for 3368 London Line, received comments from the public, and approved Zoning By-law Amendment 5 of 2024.

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, February 14th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding the annual contractual amendments to Articles D.1.1 and D.4 of the current Operations, Maintenance and Management Services Agreement with Jacobs, approved the contract increase and base fee adjustment formula, and passed By-law 16 of 2024 to facilitate the amended agreement.
  • Received a report regarding Requests for Drain Maintenance for the period of June 19, 2023 - December 31, 2023.
  • Received a report regarding the tender to supply and place Granular 'M' for gravel road resurfacing and accepted a tender from McKenzie & Henderson.
  • Received a report regarding a Second House Agreement Request - 5955 South Plympton Road and passed By-law 17 of 2024 to facilitate the agreement.
  • Passed By-law 15 of 2024 being a by-law to provide for the payment of taxes and to provide for penalty and interest of 1.25 percent per month on taxes in default.
  • Held a Consideration meeting for the Invercairn Drain and scheduled a Court of Revision meeting for the drain on March 13th, 2024.
  • Held a Court of Revision meeting for the Somerville Drain and confirmed the assessments on the drain as contained in the Engineer’s report.
  • Council supported the following items of correspondence:
    • City of Sarnia – Carbon Tax
    • Prince Edward County – Expanding the Life of Fire Apparatus
