Recreation & Facilities

All parks and facilities are subject to the provisions of By-law 95 of 2023 being a by-law for the use, regulation, and protection of public parks and recreation areas in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming. 

All Town Parks close at dusk and open at dawn and are closed during the winter months.
The Town does not provide snow maintenance to roadways within our Parks.

The Town has several facilities and recreation activities available for the public to rent/book through our online software:

  • 6 Park Gazebos
  • Camlachie Community Centre
  • 3 Volleyball Courts 
  • Swimming Lessons 
  • Boat ramp pass (daily / seasonal)

Facilities

You can rent Napper Hall (the main hall) or the Boardroom at the Camlachie Community Centre for a reception, party or other special event. Napper Hall holds up to 300 people with tables and chairs or up to 350 people with chairs only. The Boardroom holds around 20 people comfortably.

For booking of the Hall, residents will need to create an account here first, then login to view availability and book the Camlachie Community Centre.

Lambton Shores (The Shores Recreation Centre)

The Town of Plympton-Wyoming proudly supported the development of The Shores Recreation Centre located at:

Arena
The Shores Recreation Centre has an arena with the following features:

  • 1 NHL size rink (200 ft by 85 ft)
  • Seating capacity of 700 (standing room for several hundred more)
  • A walking track (free to anyone)
  • Ice rentals for private parties/functions
  • Concrete pad with a capacity of 1,200 (can be rented out for trade shows, summer sports and other special events)
  • Concession area

Gymnasium
The Centre also features a gymnasium with a full-size basketball, volleyball and badminton court that can also be split into two courts using a curtain wall.

Wellness Center
Operated by the YMCA of Sarnia-Lambton, the Suncor Wellness Centre is located on the upper level of the Recreation Centre.

Frequently asked Questions

Camlachie Community Centre

As per the rental contract, rentals of the CCC include the use of tables and chairs. 

It is the Lessee's responsibility to set up any tables and chairs that are needed for the booking. Any decorating is the responsibility of the Lessee, but no decorations are to be pinned or taped to the walls or ceiling of Napper Hall. As well, no confetti or open candles of any kind are permitted. Confetti includes metal table sprinkles.

Clean-up:

  • Chairs must be stacked
  • Tables must be washed off at the end of the evening
  • The hall is left in an orderly manner with food waste collected in plastic garbage bags, we supply, and placed in the dumpster

Park Facilities

Each gazebo houses picnic tables available for use with the rental. Renters are allowed to post or display any materials in the gazebo, so long as it is appropriate and not offensive. 

Please do your part to help keep our parks and facilities clean and garbage free for everyone to enjoy. We ask that following a rental all garbage, waste, and recycling be placed in the appropriate areas, otherwise a cleaning fee may be charged.

Keys are available for pick-up and drop-off at the Town of Plympton-Wyoming Municipal Office during regular business hours. Our office is located at 546 Niagara Street Wyoming, ON N0N 1T0 and we are open 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. Keys can be picked-up the business day before your booking and they must be returned the next business day following your booking (i.e. if the CCC is booked for a Saturday gathering the key can be picked up on Friday and must be dropped off on Monday at the latest). 

The key does not need to be dropped off during business hours, they can be left in the secure after-hours drop-box located by the front door of the Municipal Office. 

When renting the Camlachie Community Centre there is a 50% cancellation fee for bookings canceled 60 days prior to the scheduled event.

There are no refunds on gazebo rentals.

All bookings must be completed by someone who is of the age of majority (18 or older). Youth groups putting on functions at the hall when alcoholic beverages are being served must have "AGE OF MAJORITY CARD FOR ADMITTANCE" printed on their tickets. This group will be limited to 300 people. Hall management will enforce this rule at the door.

Sign into your account and click the “My Info” button along the top bar. Next, select "Invoices".

This will take you to a new screen where it will list balance due. There is a button called “Make Payment”

that should then asks you to enter payment information.
