Parks and Recreation Master Plan

About the Project

The Town of Plympton-Wyoming is preparing a Parks and Recreation Master Plan to identify needs over the next 10 years. The Master Plan will consider community input, demographic shifts, emerging activities, asset condition, and more to set priorities for improving these important public spaces that contribute to our quality of life.

The Master Plan will address:

• Indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and amenities
• Parks, open spaces and trails
• Programs, policies and service delivery

Our parks and recreation system contributes to individual and community health and wellbeing in many ways. They encourage active lifestyles and active transportation, support leisure activities, and special events, preserve natural heritage and wildlife habitat, strengthen tourism and economic development, and builds healthy communities.

We want to hear from you!

Here is how you can get involved to be part of the conversation and make sure your voice is heard:

1. Join us at one of the following Public Information Centres to learn more about the Master Plan and to provide your input. These are drop-in sessions with no presentation.

• Celebrate Canada on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Camlachie Community Centre (6767 Camlachie Rd, Camlachie ON)
• Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Wyoming Fair Grounds (595 Main St, Wyoming ON)

2. Complete our Community Survey by Sunday July 27th, 2025

• Visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/pwmasterplan to complete the survey online
• Pick up and return hard copies at the Plympton-Wyoming Municipal Office (546 Niagara Street). 
  Completed surveys can also be e-mailed to Paul DaSilva, Director of Public Works at pdasilva@plympton-wyoming.ca
   

3. Submit written comments to Paul DaSilva, Director of Public Works by e-mail at pdasilva@plympton-wyoming.ca or drop them off at any Town of Plympton-Wyoming facility.
