Arts, Culture and Heritage

The Town of Plympton-Wyoming is dedicated to preserving and showcasing our history and proudly works directly with the Plympton-Wyoming Historical Society (PWHS). The PWHS has worked hard to establish a museum at the Camlachie Cultural Library at 6745 Camlachie Road. For more information visit the Plympton-Wyoming Museum website. 

The public is more than welcome to attend the PWHS meetings held at the Museum on the following dates:

November 19th 2025 at 7 p.m.

December 17th 2025 at 7 p.m.

April 15th 2026 at 7 p.m.

May 20th 2026 at 7 p.m.

June 17th 2026 at 7 p.m.

September 16th 2026 at 7 p.m.

October 21st 2026 at 7 p.m.

November 18th 2026 at 7 p.m.

December 23rd 2026 at 7 p.m.

The museum is located in the lower level of the Camlachie Library and closes during the winter months to prepare for its new exhibits.

During our off season, visitors are welcome to visit the museum by appointment.

Old Plympton Hall

The Old Plympton Hall was built in 1869 and was the home of the former Plympton Township municipal government until the mid-1950's, after which it became a community hall until it's closure in 2022. It was also the first site of the now Plympton-Wyoming Fall Fair.

Lambton County Archives is the archival centre for genealogical and local history research in the County of Lambton.

The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has two library branches which can be found in Camlachie and Wyoming. The branches are a part of the Lambton County Library System
