Chief Administrative Officer
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Town of Plympton-Wyoming is responsible for the leadership and general management of the Corporation and serves as a key advisor to Council.
As the senior appointed official, and working together with the Corporation's management staff, the CAO oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the Corporation. Click here to contact the CAO.
The CAO represents the Town with external groups and agencies on behalf of Council.
As the senior appointed official, working in collaboration with the Town's Management Staff, the CAO's major duties and responsibilities include:
Leadership and management |
The CAO leads, coordinates, manages and oversees the work of all municipal departments and ensures implementation of Council's policy direction and the effective and efficient service delivery of municipal services. |
Policies |
The CAO ensures the implementation of the policies, directions and programs approved by Council. |
Budget |
The CAO oversees the preparation of the Town's budget, providing recommendations with respect to both current and capital budgets, and exercise financial control over approved appropriations for all Town departments. |
Council support |
The Town's CAO supports Council decision-making by reviewing and advising on Council's agenda, and making appropriate presentations to Council on all requisite matters. |
Communication |
The CAO ensures effective implementation of objectives, strategies and actions designed to improve internal and external communications for the Corporation and the community. |
Human resources |
The CAO directs the administration of management activities related to human resources of the Corporation. |
