Below are common applications, licences and permits required by the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.
Marriage Licences |
The Town of Plympton-Wyoming is pleased to announce that as of January 2022, we are now issuing marriage licences. Refer to our marriage licence page for additional information. |
Building Permits |

Burn Permit |
||||||||||||
You must have a permit for any burning within the Town of Plympton-Wyoming, with the exception of a small social campfire (less than 0.5 meters). You cannot burn noxious materials such as:

How to apply for a permitYou can apply for a burn permit at the Municipal Office, open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also send a burn permit application by fax to 519-845-0597. We only issue burn permits to property owners. If someone other than the property owner wants to obtain a burn permit, they must bring written permission from the property owner where the burning will take place. Culvert (Entrance) Application |

You must have permission from the Town of Plympton-Wyoming to install a private entrance onto your property from a municipal road. You can apply for an entrance permit at the Municipal Office, open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also send an entrance permit application by fax to 519-845-0597. Refer to our entrance culvert policy or contact the Operations Department for more information. |

Lottery Licence |
||||||||||||
The Town of Plympton-Wyoming issues lottery licences for certain raffles, break open ticket events, bingo events and bazaars. If you'd like to host a different type of lottery event, contact the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Lottery Licence FeesLottery licence fees are regulated through the Town's Fees and User Charges By-law.

Oversize/Overweight Permit |

You must have permission from the Town of Plympton-Wyoming to move a building, structure or oversize load across municipal roads. You can apply for a permit to move a building on Town roads at the Municipal Office, open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also send a permit application by fax to 519-845-0597. Refer to our policy on moving buildings on Town roads or contact the Operations Department for more information. |

Mobile Food & Refreshment Truck Licence |
||||||||||||
The Town of Plympton-Wyoming requires licences for mobile food and refreshment trucks to operate on private and public property, with exceptions. By-law 6 of 2024 provides all requirements for licences.

Waiving of Municipal Fees |

The Town of Plympton-Wyoming supports not-for-profit organizations by offering the ability to waive fees associated with facility rentals and waiving the fee for executing a 'Use of Public Facility Agreement'. The policy and associated application can be found here. |
