The Town of Plympton-Wyoming has a population of approximately 8,000. The land area is 318.76 sq. km.
The municipality is governed by a seven-member Council, including a mayor, and the Municipal Office is located at 546 Niagara Street in Wyoming, Ontario.
The 2001 amalgamation of the Township of Plympton and the Village of Wyoming has created a larger, more diverse community, with both rural and urban lifestyles. Plympton-Wyoming offers lakefront, agricultural and urban properties, and a wide range of facilities and services to provide residents with a comfortable community in which to live and to work.
