Conservation Areas

The following conservation areas are located in the Plympton-Wyoming area.

C. J. McEwen Conservation Area
The 4 hectare Charles J. McEwen Conservation Area is a great place for a swim and a picnic. The area features a 200 metre sandy beach and a picnic area. Several species of trees have been planted to return much of the area to forest.

Parking is available at this location.

Highland Glen Conservation Area
The Highland Glen Conservation Area is 11 hectares of beautiful forested ravine land and a       600 metre beach along Lake Huron. The Conservation Area includes a boat ramp and safe harbour allowing access to Lake Huron for boaters. A picnic pavilion makes this Area a great place for a summer day trip.

This location features parking and a boat launch.

Fees

Vehicle parking fees are $60 for a seasonal pass and $5 for a day pass.
Boat launch fees are $120 (seasonal) or $10 (daily).

  • Web: Go to mackaypay.com and select the ZONE Number from the sign you are at representing either a vehicle only or a boat ramp use.
