Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Planning Council Meeting on Monday, February 24th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Heard a Delegation from Jess Jessome related to the History and a Brief Summary of Living in the Wanstead Hamlet Neighbourhood.
  • Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 0 Confederation Line, approved Zoning By-law Amendment 3 of 2025 and passed By-law 3 of 2025 being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.
  • Held a Public Meeting regarding an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for 5249 Egremont Rd, approved Zoning By-law Amendment 9 of 2025 and passed By-law 9 of 2025 being a By-law to amend By-law 97 of 2003.

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, February 26th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Presented Mr. James So and Family with a certificate of recognition for their recent donation to the Plympton-Wyoming Health & Wellness Centre.
  • Presented certificates of recognition to Sandra Eagen, Vicky Ducharme and Carol Ferguson in recognition of the Service Club Recruitment event they organized.
  • Received a report regarding the Barnes Drain, Section 65 Report as information.
  • Received a report regarding a Petition for Drainage Works by Owners of Waterside Estates Development Phase 1, Lot 7, Concession 10, and Council appointed R. Dobbin Engineering Inc. to make an examination of the area requiring drainage and prepare a report.
  • Received a report and approved By-law 18 of 2025, as amended to Establish Fees and User Charges for the Town.
  • Received a report regarding an application to the Ontario Trillium Foundation Capital Grant Program and approved an application be submitted to replace the field lighting at Canton Park.
  • Received correspondence from the Lambton County Regional Trails Committee and supported the Committees request to the County of Lambton for pedestrian crossing improvements at the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Mandaumin Road.
  • Received correspondence from Alton Farms Estate Winery.
  • Received a notice of motion from Councillor van Klaveren regarding Canada Post.
  • Council supported the following items of correspondence:
    • Resolution from the Town of Hanover regarding the US imposition of Tariffs on Canada.
