Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, September 11th the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:

  • Received a report regarding the Stonehouse Drain Tender, accepted the tender from McNally Excavating Ltd. for $253,120.00 including HST, and passed By-law 112 of 2024.
  • Received a report regarding the second quarter 2024 budget update.
  • Received a report regarding the 2024 Small/Rural/North/Indigenous Stream of the Housing Accelerator Fund application, re-endorsed the provided 2023 Action Plan Initiatives for the 2024 application, and directed the Mayor and Clerk to sign an attestation confirming those initiatives.
  • Received a report regarding Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department Pumper 3 from the Wyoming Station, declared Pumper 3 as surplus equipment, and directed staff to auction the vehicle off on https://www.govdeals.ca/.
  • Passed By-law 111 of 2024 being a By-law to execute a land exchange between 1272164 Ontario Inc. and the Corporation of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.
  • Received a petition regarding an all-way stop at Queen Street and Fleming Road and directed staff to investigate whether an all-way stop condition at the intersection of Queen Street and Fleming Road is warranted, based on the requirements of the Ontario Traffic Manuals.
