Council Highlights

Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Heard a delegation from Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership.
- Received a report regarding a Petition for Drainage Works by Owners in Gallimere Beach and Council appointed Spriet Associates Ltd. to make an examination of the area requiring drainage and prepare a report.
- Received a report regarding amendments to By-law 3 of 2022 to Regulate the Setting of Fires in the Open Air. Council approved the new proposed By-law 17 of 2025 with further amendments.
- Received a report regarding a tender to “Supply and Place Granular ‘M’ for Gravel Road Resurfacing” in the amount of $34.75 per tonne plus HST.
- Received a report regarding the annual contractual amendment to Article D.1.1 of the current Operations, Maintenance and Management Services Agreement with Jacobs. The proposed contract increase and base fee adjustment formula was approved.
- Received a report regarding the 2025 Dust Control Services and approved the extension of the existing contract with Den-Mar Brines Ltd. for the supply, hauling, and application of 250 flake equivalent tonnes at a total cost of $65,152.50 plus HST.
- Received a report regarding JJ’s Snack Shack Mobile Food and Refreshment Vehicle and approved the proposal as submitted to provide Mobile Food Truck Services at McKay Park through By-law 21 of 2025.
- Approved By-law 23 of 2025, a revised False Alarm By-law which amended the schedule of fines.
- Approved By-law 24 of 2025, being a by-law to provide for the payment of taxes and to provide for penalty and interest of 1.25% per month on taxes in default.
- Approved By-law 25 of 2025, being a by-law to appoint Officers, Board / Committee Members and Employees of the Town.
- Received and approved correspondence from the 2025 Bluewater Triathlon, Duathlon and AquaBike, approved the route presented and directed staff to provide traffic signs and barriers for the event.
