Council Highlights
Wyoming, ON – At its regular Planning meeting on Tuesday, February 16th 2021 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Received a delegation from Mr. Dale Lane regarding Limberlost Subdivision (commonly referred to as The Bird Lanes).
- Received a report regarding the Subdivision Agreement for JN Ventures Limited (County File No. 38T-18005 Hillsboro Road, adjacent to Townsend Line) and approved By-law 16 of 2021 to facilitate that agreement.
- Received a report regarding an extension of Draft Approval Allan Developments (Bluepoint) Inc, County File No. 38C-11002 and directed staff to inform the County of Lambton that the Town of Plympton-Wyoming has no concerns with the extension of the Draft Approval.
- Received a letter from residents Bill and Sandra Moore regarding various development concerns surrounding their property and staff were directed to prepare a letter addressing those concerns.
Wyoming, ON – At its regular Council meeting on Wednesday, February 17th 2021 the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Held a moment of silence in memory of Tony Beaulieu and Mary Pat Gleeson.
- Received correspondence from the Ontario Ombudsman and Council and Staff will endeavor to follow the recommendations in the report.
- Received a Service Delivery Review report from Whitesell and Company.
- Received a report regarding the proposal to replace the shoreline protection at the Devonshire beach access and approved the quotation from Gordon’s Shoreline Marine for $63,200.00 without H.S.T.
- Received a report regarding a request for abandonment of the Latam Drain and directed staff to proceed with the process of abandonment of the Latam Drain.
- Received a report regarding a request for Drain Improvement for the King Bryson Drain and council approved the appointment of Ray Dobbin Engineering under Section 78 of the Act to produce a report on the King Bryson Drain based on the improvement request received on January 29, 2021.
- Received a report regarding a request for Drain Improvement for the Fisher Drain and Council approved the appointment of M. Gerrits Consulting Inc. under Section 78 of the Act to produce a report on the Fisher Drain based on the improvement request received on February 8, 2021.
- Received a report regarding a quote to replace the Blower Magnetic Bearing Controller at the Plympton Wastewater Treatment Plant and Council approved the quote from Sulzer Pumps Wastewater Canada Inc. in the amount of $27,990.00 without HST.
- Received a report regarding the Director of Fire and Emergency Services (Fire Chief) position and directed staff to proceed with the recruitment process as outlined.
- Received correspondence from the Bluewater International Granfondo.
- Held a Consideration Meeting for the Carmichael Drain Relocation and read Provisional By-law 17 of 2021 a first and second time. The Court of Revision meeting has been set for March 10th 2021 at 6 p.m.
- Supported the resolution from Baldwin Township regarding the closure of the Ontario Fire College in Gravenhurst.
- Set a Special Council Meeting for March 16th 2021 at 5 p.m. to discuss future event planning within Plympton-Wyoming.
