Council Highlights
Wyoming, ON – At its Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, July 10th, the Council of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming:
- Held a Consideration meeting for the Saul Drain (2024).
- Defeated a report regarding the Future Use of Old Plympton Township Hall Public Consultation Plan.
- Declared the Old Plympton Township Hall known municipally as 4996 Egremont Road as surplus to the needs of the municipality and directed staff to proceed with the process of disposition of surplus lands by public tender.
- Approved Council remuneration claims for June 2024.
- Received a report regarding the Whiting Drain Tender, accepted the tender from JLH Excavating Inc. for $64,387.40 including HST and passed by-law 92 of 2024.
- Received a report regarding Requests for Drain Maintenance for the period of April 1, 2024 - June 30, 2024.
- Received a report regarding a Video Surveillance Policy for the Town of Plympton-Wyoming and adopted policy #72, as amended.
- Received a report regarding the Implementation of Speed Transition Zones Entering the Hamlet of Camlachie and passed By-law 88 of 2024.
- Received a report regarding the Mobile Food and Refreshment Vehicle Proposal - All Fryed Up, approved the proposal to provide mobile food truck services at Lakeshore Park, and passed By-law 89 of 2024.
- Received a report regarding 2024 Roadside Ditching Tender Results, accepted the tender from JLH Excavating in the amount of $49,750.00 plus HST, and passed By-law 90 of 2024.
- Defeated a report regarding a Request for an Encroachment Agreement for the Installation of a 3.3 meter driveway widening within a Town owned Alley.
- Passed Collection By-law 91 of 2024 for the Montgomery Drain and imposed a pro-rata levy on the ratepayers according to the attached Schedule of Assessment which will be collected in the manner outlined within the By-law.
- Passed Collection By-law 95 of 2024 for the De Friez-Delmage Drain and imposed a pro-rata levy on the ratepayers according to the attached Schedule of Assessment which will be collected in the manner outlined within the By-law.
- Received correspondence from Randy Dayman regarding Augusta Street and directed staff to maintain the Town’s previously established processes regarding improving un-opened / un-assumed road allowances.
- Council pulled correspondence from Enniskillen Township regarding a severance and Zoning By-law Amendment application on Churchill Line and requested copies of the decisions be provided to the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.
