CAMLACHIE CULTURAL LIBRARY MUSEUM

(A Volunteer Committee)

 

This Committee is responsible to oversee that it meets the needs for the use of the building, maintenance and upkeep needs and recommendations and all possible uses of the building for the residents of Plympton-Wyoming.

CEMETERIES

 Wyoming Public Cemetery

(Active Cemetery)

The Wyoming Public Cemetery is located at the end of Isabella Street in Wyoming.  This committee is in charge of the operations and the care and maintenance of the Cemetery.  The Cemetery is supported by the Town of Plympton Wyoming and Township of Enniskillen  through grants from the municipalities and any revenue generated through the operations of the Cemetery.  This committee will normally meet the third Tuesday of each month.

COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT

The Committee of Adjustment normally meets on a monthly basis at the call of the Chair.  This Committee deals with applications for Land Severances and Minor Variances.

COMMUNITY POLICING COMMITTEE 

The Community Policing is intended to increase a sense of responsibility for personal safety and problem solving among our citizens and shifts from a predominantly reactive response to service calls, to proactive problem solving and increases effectiveness at resolvong community-wide problems.

The mandate and purpose of the Community Policing is to create a partnership with the local public residents to solve localized problems or make specific improvements that enhance the overall quality of life in our community.  The partnership may be with an individual, a block of residents or a neighbourhood at a time.

This Committee meets at the Call of the Co-Chair Persons' and the members are:

SUNSET ACRES PARK COMMITTEE

(A Volunteer Committee)
 
The Sunset Acres Park Committee was formed with the responsibility to oversee the redevelopment of this park in 2011.  The Committee was initially only to last for one year but the members remain to monitor the condition of the park and report to the Parks Board Committee.

WYOMING TO REECES CORNERS TRAIL COMMITTEE

The Wyoming to Reeces Corners Trail Committee was formed to develop a plan to meet the needs to create a walking trail from Wyoming to Reeces Corners as well as to promote the project for donations to fully cover the costs.
